im looking for a old film called hot rod that was out early-mid 90s?

hi i have bein searchin for months maybe years for this film for
myb/friend he remebers watching this film as a child and thinks was
around early to mid 90s that it must have bein out,,,,,

he has no names of any actor who may have being in this film only that
it was about hot rods,,,,
