What was the scary Japanese movie that was on G4 for like a week?

There was a scary movie on G4 that I remember about some amphibious
monster wreaking havoc on Japan, I can remember that the main
character worked in like a food/snack hut by the river side. I also
remember that there was a little girl that was captured and every one
went looking after her.
